Tabou Boards was founded in France in 1991 by Fabien Vollenweider, who is famous for producing outstanding and innovative windsurfing and foiling boards.

He has been shaping for over 30 years and remains shareholder of Tabou Boards to this date, which reflects Fabien’s passion for shaping, the brand and the quest of innovating board design year after year.

Each Tabou product is the result of this passion and the know-how that Fabien and our team of world-class riders contribute in the development process.

FABIEN VOLLENWEIDER

Fabien is the mastermind behind Tabou Boards and founded the company himself in 1991.

More than 30 years of experience in board design, his close contact to the test team and his open-minded approach to shaping allows him to come up with innovative solutions for windsurfing and foiling boards.

With a shaping room near his home in Marseille Fabien can produce, test and tune prototypes quickly, which brings along the opportunity to try a lot of different design ideas, before Tabou Boards go into production.
